Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 21, 2026
Bigiti is operated by Dexter Cutts, trading as Bigiti, in 1290, Vaud, Switzerland (“Bigiti,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). For applicable data-protection laws, Bigiti is the controller of the personal information described in this Privacy Policy.
Bigiti operates this website and online store, including its related information, content, accounts, features, tools, products and services (collectively, the “Services”). Our store is powered by Shopify, which enables us to provide the Services.
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, store and protect personal information when you visit Bigiti, create an account, purchase or consider purchasing a product, subscribe to communications, request a back-in-stock notification, use our AI chatbot or otherwise communicate with us.
If this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service regarding the collection, use or disclosure of personal information, this Privacy Policy controls for those matters.
Personal Information We Collect
“Personal information” means information that identifies you or can reasonably be linked to you. It does not include information that has been anonymised so that it can no longer reasonably identify you.
Depending on how you interact with Bigiti, we may collect the following categories of information:
-
Contact and identification information, including your name, email address, telephone number, billing address, shipping address and country or region.
-
Order and transaction information, including your order number, products viewed or purchased, purchase date, amount spent, currency, returns, refunds, cancellations, delivery status and previous transactions.
-
Payment information. Payments are processed by Shopify Payments, PayPal and payment partners made available through Shopify. Bigiti generally does not receive or store your complete payment-card number. We may receive limited payment information such as the payment method, payment status, transaction identifier, billing details and limited card details.
-
Account information, including account identifiers, login information, preferences, saved addresses, order history and account settings. Authentication credentials may be handled by Shopify rather than being directly accessible to Bigiti.
-
Marketing and communication information, including your newsletter subscription status, marketing preferences, consent records and whether you have opened or interacted with a communication where this functionality is enabled.
-
Back-in-stock notification information, including your email address or telephone number and the specific product for which you requested a notification.
-
Communications, including messages sent to customer support and information submitted through our AI chatbot, contact forms, email or other communication channels.
-
Device and technical information, including your IP address, browser, device type, operating system, network connection, cookie identifiers and other similar technical identifiers.
-
Usage and approximate location information, including how you navigate the Services, pages and products viewed, dates and times of visits, referring pages and an approximate location derived from information such as your IP address.
-
Information stored in our private business records. Bigiti maintains a private spreadsheet containing customers’ names, purchase dates, amounts spent and order numbers. This spreadsheet does not intentionally contain customers’ shipping addresses or complete payment-card information.
We do not intentionally collect special-category or highly sensitive information such as health information, biometric information, religious beliefs or precise geolocation. Please do not submit this type of information through the chatbot or customer-support channels.
Sources of Personal Information
We collect personal information:
-
Directly from you, such as when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to communications, request a notification or contact us.
-
Automatically through the Services, including through Shopify’s built-in analytics, cookies and similar technologies.
-
From Shopify and our service providers, including payment, fulfilment, dropshipping, delivery, tracking, account, chatbot and notification providers.
-
From business partners and other third parties, when necessary to provide the Services, prevent fraud or resolve an order or customer-support issue.
How and Why We Use Personal Information
Providing the Services and fulfilling our contract
We use personal information to:
- Process payments and orders.
- Arrange fulfilment, shipping and delivery.
- Provide order confirmations and delivery updates.
- Manage accounts, returns, refunds and cancellations.
- Provide customer support.
- Respond to questions and complaints.
- Maintain records relating to purchases and our relationship with customers.
Where the GDPR or UK GDPR applies, this processing is generally necessary to perform a contract with you or take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
Back-in-stock notifications
When you knowingly enter an email address or telephone number into the “Notify Me When Available” form, we use that contact information to send the back-in-stock notification you requested for the selected product.
A back-in-stock request does not automatically mean that you have agreed to receive unrelated marketing messages.
If you provide a telephone number for a back-in-stock notification, we use it to send the requested SMS notification. We do not use that number for unrelated SMS marketing unless you separately and actively choose to receive such marketing.
After the requested notification has been sent, the contact details may be deleted, anonymised or kept for a limited period for technical, security and recordkeeping purposes. If a person separately subscribes to marketing, their contact information may be retained until they unsubscribe or withdraw consent.
Operating, securing and improving Bigiti
We use information to operate the store, understand general store performance, troubleshoot problems, maintain security, prevent fraud and abuse, protect accounts and improve the Services.
Where required, we rely on our legitimate interests in operating, protecting and improving Bigiti, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights and interests.
Email marketing and abandoned-cart communications
If you knowingly subscribe to our newsletter or otherwise provide valid permission, we may send email newsletters, promotions and abandoned-cart reminders.
Where applicable law requires consent, we rely on your consent. You may withdraw consent at any time through the unsubscribe link in an email or by contacting us.
Withdrawing from marketing does not prevent us from sending necessary non-promotional messages relating to an account, order, payment, delivery, security issue, requested back-in-stock notification or customer-support request.
Analytics and cookies
We use Shopify’s built-in analytics and similar technologies to understand store visits, approximate visitor locations and how the Services are used.
Where required by law, non-essential cookies and similar technologies are used only after consent has been provided through our cookie banner. Where consent is not legally required, we may rely on our legitimate interests, subject to available privacy choices.
Legal and compliance purposes
We may process information to:
- Comply with accounting, tax, consumer-protection and other legal requirements.
- Respond to valid legal requests.
- Establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
- Investigate suspected fraud, unlawful conduct or violations of our policies.
- Protect Bigiti, our customers, service providers and other people.
Where applicable, this processing is based on compliance with a legal obligation or our legitimate interests in protecting our business and enforcing our rights.
Cookies and Similar Technologies
Bigiti and Shopify use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, keep accounts and checkout functions working, provide security and perform analytics.
Cookies may include:
-
Essential cookies required for features such as account access, shopping carts, checkout, payments, fraud prevention and security.
-
Functional cookies used to remember settings and improve store features.
-
Analytics cookies used to understand visits and store performance.
-
Marketing cookies, if marketing or advertising features are enabled in the future.
Where required, visitors can accept, reject or manage non-essential cookies through the cookie banner. Cookie choices can also be changed through the available Cookie Preferences link or settings.
Blocking essential cookies through a browser may prevent parts of the Services from working correctly.
Bigiti does not currently use separately installed Meta, TikTok, Google or similar advertising pixels. If this changes, this Privacy Policy and the relevant consent settings should be updated.
How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information to the following recipients when necessary:
-
Shopify, which hosts and operates the commerce platform, accounts, checkout, analytics and related store functions.
-
Payment providers, including Shopify Payments, PayPal, banks, payment networks and fraud-prevention providers.
-
Fulfilment and dropshipping providers, including DSers, relevant AliExpress suppliers, Syncee and the suppliers, warehouses or fulfilment partners responsible for processing and shipping an order. These providers may receive information such as the customer’s name, shipping address, contact details and order contents.
-
Shipping and tracking providers, including Track123, postal services, couriers and logistics providers.
-
The AI-chatbot provider, currently Flyweight AI Chatbot, which may process messages and information submitted through the chatbot.
-
The back-in-stock notification provider, currently Notify Me!, which may process the email address or telephone number and product information needed to provide a requested notification.
-
Technical and professional service providers, such as cloud hosting, security, IT support, communication, accounting or legal service providers.
-
Authorities and other parties where legally required, including courts, regulators, law-enforcement authorities or parties involved in a legal claim.
-
Parties involved in a business transaction, such as a potential purchaser or successor if Bigiti is sold, reorganised or transferred, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal requirements.
We do not sell personal information to third parties in exchange for money. However, some privacy laws may define certain uses of information for cross-context behavioural advertising or Shopify enhanced services as a “sale,” “sharing” or “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged.
Where applicable, you can opt out through Bigiti’s Data Sharing Opt-Out page, Shopify’s privacy tools or a legally recognised Global Privacy Control signal.
Relationship With Shopify
The Services are hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes information about access to and use of the Services to provide, secure and improve Shopify’s services.
Information submitted to Bigiti may be transmitted to Shopify and other providers operating in countries outside your country of residence. Shopify may also process information as an independent controller for certain purposes.
You can learn more through the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy and exercise certain rights relating directly to Shopify’s processing through the Shopify Privacy Portal.
If Shopify Network Intelligence or other Shopify enhanced services are enabled, Shopify may process information about interactions with Bigiti together with information from Shopify or other merchants. Available consent and opt-out choices will apply as described in Shopify’s privacy information and Bigiti’s customer-privacy settings.
International Transfers
Bigiti is based in Switzerland, but Shopify, PayPal, DSers, AliExpress suppliers, Syncee, Track123, Flyweight AI Chatbot, Notify Me! and other providers may process information in other countries.
These countries may have privacy laws that differ from those in Switzerland or your country.
Where required, international transfers are supported by an adequacy decision, the Swiss or European Commission’s approved Standard Contractual Clauses, the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum, a recognised data-privacy framework, contractual safeguards or another legally permitted transfer mechanism.
You may contact us for more information about the safeguards applicable to a transfer, subject to confidentiality and legal limitations.
Retention of Personal Information
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including providing the Services, maintaining accounts, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and enforcing agreements.
In particular:
-
Order and customer information is generally retained in Shopify while needed for account, order, support, legal or business-record purposes.
-
Names, purchase dates, order values and order numbers may also be retained in Bigiti’s private business spreadsheet.
-
Certain accounting and transaction records may need to be kept for up to 10 years or another legally required period under Swiss accounting and tax rules.
-
Account information may be retained while an account remains active and afterwards where reasonably required for legal, security or recordkeeping purposes.
-
Newsletter contact details and consent records may be kept while a person remains subscribed. If a person unsubscribes, limited information may be kept on a suppression list to ensure that the opt-out is respected.
-
Email addresses or telephone numbers submitted for a back-in-stock notification are retained for the time needed to provide the requested notification and for a limited period afterwards where necessary for technical, security or recordkeeping purposes.
-
Chatbot conversations are retained according to the purpose for which they were collected, the relevant provider’s settings and applicable legal requirements. They should be deleted or anonymised when no longer reasonably necessary.
A deletion request may not result in immediate deletion of information that must be kept by law, is needed to complete a transaction, is required to prevent fraud, or is contained in secure backups deleted according to normal backup schedules.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, organisational and technical measures intended to protect personal information. These include limiting access to customer records and keeping business records private.
However, no electronic system, storage method or transmission is completely secure. Customers should not send sensitive or confidential information through unsecured communication channels or the AI chatbot.
Customers are responsible for protecting their account credentials and should not share their password with other people.
Children and Teenagers
Bigiti is not specifically directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly market to children under 13 or offer children’s accounts, competitions or surveys intended to collect their personal information.
Teenagers may use the Services, subject to applicable local laws. Where the law requires permission from a parent or legal guardian for a purchase, account, marketing subscription, cookie choice or other processing activity, that permission must be obtained.
If you believe a child has provided personal information without legally required permission, please contact us. We will investigate and delete the information where required.
Bigiti does not knowingly sell or share the personal information of individuals under 16 for targeted advertising as those terms are defined by applicable US privacy laws.
Automated Tools
The AI chatbot may generate automated responses to customer questions. Customers should not rely on the chatbot for legal, medical, financial or emergency advice and may contact Bigiti for human assistance.
Bigiti does not currently use the chatbot or another automated system to make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on customers without appropriate human involvement.
Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live and applicable law, you may have the right to:
- Request confirmation of whether we process your personal information.
- Access or receive a copy of your personal information.
- Correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Request deletion of information.
- Request restriction of certain processing.
- Object to processing, including an absolute right to object to direct marketing where applicable.
- Withdraw consent at any time.
- Receive certain information in a portable, machine-readable format.
- Request transfer of eligible information to another controller.
- Opt out of sale, sharing or targeted advertising where applicable.
- Appeal a decision concerning a privacy request where applicable.
- Complain to a data-protection authority.
These rights are not absolute. We may need to retain or continue processing certain information where permitted or required by law.
To submit a request, email contact@bigiti.com. Please describe the right you wish to exercise. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify your identity and protect your account. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
You will not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.
Communication Choices
You may unsubscribe from promotional emails using the unsubscribe link included in the message.
A back-in-stock notification is sent because you specifically requested information about the availability of a selected product. Requesting this notification does not automatically subscribe you to unrelated marketing.
Order confirmations, delivery updates, security alerts and other necessary service communications may still be sent after you unsubscribe from marketing.
Complaints
If you have a complaint about our handling of personal information, please contact contact@bigiti.com first so that we can investigate.
You may also have the right to contact an appropriate supervisory authority, including:
- The Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner if you are in Switzerland.
- A relevant European Economic Area data-protection authority if you are in the EEA.
- The UK Information Commissioner’s Office if you are in the United Kingdom.
Customers elsewhere may contact their applicable local privacy or consumer-protection authority.
Third-Party Websites
The Services may link to websites or platforms operated by third parties. Bigiti does not control those third parties and is not responsible for their privacy or security practices.
You should review the third party’s privacy notice before providing information. The inclusion of a link does not necessarily mean that Bigiti endorses the third party.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Services, providers, technology, business practices or legal requirements.
We will publish the updated version on Bigiti, change the “Last updated” date and provide additional notice where required by law.
